The Wings Lose In OT, Pistons Fall To Kings and NMU’s Forrest Karr
- Updated: January 11, 2017
Marquette, MI – The Detroit Red Wings were away last night in Chicago looking to pick up a win against one of the NHL’s best teams. Unfortunately a late penalty in the third period led to a man advantage in the overtime and Blackhawks Duncan Keith put a slapper past Mrazek to seal the victory. The Red Wings got goals from Andreas Athanasiou, Thomas Tatar and Luke Glendening. Mrazek made 39 saves and the Red Wings are now 2-2-2 in their past six games on the road and conclude their road swing on Thursday when they take on the Dallas Stars. The puck will drop in Dallas at 7:30 pm.
The Detroit Pistons were riding a two game winning streak before running into the Sacramento Kings who have had somewhat of a familiar season as the Pistons. Kings DeMarcus Cousins had 24 points and 13 rebounds in the Kings 100-94 victory. The Pistons were led by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who had 21 points followed by guard Reggie Jackson who added 19. The Pistons continue to stay on the road when they travel to Golden State to take on the Warriors on Thursday.
