The Sports Drive: Week 9 Preview
- Updated: October 19, 2018

Marquette, MI – October 19, 2018 – It feels like just yesterday Luke and Mark couldn’t contain their excitement for the first week of the Michigan High School Football season. And in the seemingly snap of the finger, we are at Week number 9. Luke and Mark recapped two games from Thursday and looked ahead to Friday.
The Ishpeming Hematites finished the regular season undefeated for the 5th time since 2010 with a huge 54-13 victory over Bark River-Harris last night. Luke and Mark caught up with the head coach of the Hematites, Jeff Olson to find out what it takes to go undefeated in the regular season, and what his Friday night plans are with no game.
Prior to 2016, the Gwinn Modeltowners had not made the playoffs since 1999. With a win tonight, head coach Dion Brown’s team could clinch a postseason bid for the 2nd time in 3 years. Coach Brown joined the Sports Drive to let the guys know what his team needs to do to get that vaunted 6th win.
Tune into the Sports Drive weekdays from 3-5pm on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 – 99.9 and online at foxsportsmarquette.com
