The Sports Drive: Randy Carlson Talks Negaunee Softball back-to-Back Regional Championships
- Updated: June 10, 2019

Marquette, MI – June 10, 2019 – The Negaunee Miners captured their 2nd regional championship in as many years with a 14-1 victory over Kingsley in the semi-final, and a 15-0, 4-inning mercy rule of the Gladstone Braves. This regional was just a bit more special, as Negaunee did it on their home turf at Lacombe Field. Miners head coach Randy Carlson joined the Sports Drive looking back at the weekend, and forward to Negaunee’s quarterfinal game on Tuesday vs Standish-Sterling Central.
You can listen to Negaunee vs Standish-Sterling on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 – 99.9 and online at foxsportsmarquette.com. Elder Agency pregame Show at 4:40pm, first pitch at 5:00pm.
The Michigan Wolverines have punched their first ticket to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska for the first time since 1984. The Wolverines defeated the number 1 overall seed UCLA 2 games to 1 in a best of 3 series. Luke and Mark discuss what it means for the Big Ten to send a team to the CWS.
Is it the end of a dynasty? The Golden State Warriors are on the brink of elimination, trailing the Toronto Raptors 3 games to 1. But the prospect of Kevin Durant returning from injury adds some drama to a series dominated by the underdog. Luke gives his thoughts on a series he was admittedly wrong about.
