The Sports Drive: NMU Throwbacks for Boston U Game?
- Updated: May 25, 2021

Marquette, MI – May 25, 2021 – This season will mark 31 years since Northern Michigan defeated Boston University in the 1991 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship game. The two teams were supposed to meet last year for the 30th anniversary season, but the pandemic has pushed the matchup to this year. CBS Local 3’s Jake Durant tweeted yesterday that NMU head coach Grant Potulny told him Northern could be rocking some new threads for one of the games. Luke and Tyler speculate on what those may be.
