The Sports Drive: Jeff Olson Talks Retirement + Tyler Young Recaps All-Star Game
- Updated: July 1, 2019

Marquette, MI – July 1, 2019 – Jeff Olson recently wrapped up his 2nd straight week of coaching All-Stars. It was the U.P. All-Star game last week and the statewide All-Star game the week prior. The recently retired former Ishpeming head coach is looking forward to enjoying his summer and not stressing as much as years past.
Tyler Young was on the call for the U.P. All-Star Game Saturday (re-live the game here) and today joined the Sports Drive to recap it. The game saw fireworks from a scoring standpoint, thanks to offense, defense and special teams.
7 teams from the current WCHA hockey conference have petitioned to leave the conference. The 7 teams would be looking to form their own conference, and three of those teams include Northern Michigan, Michigan tech, and Lake Superior State. Luke and Mark talks what this means for Division 1 U.P. Hockey.
Plus: Women’s World Cup; Pistons sign Derrick Rose
Tune into the Sports Drive weekdays from 3-5pm on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 – 99.9 and online at foxsportsmarquette.com
