The Sports Drive: Grant Potulny Previews NMU Season
- Updated: October 9, 2019

Marquette, MI – October 9, 2019 – In Grant Potulny’s first two years as NMU head hockey coach the Wildcats have finished 2nd in the WCHA both years. This has really raised the program profile from when he took over, not only nationally but locally as well. Potulny joined the Sports Drive Wednesday to talk about community support, recruiting, and what to expect from the ‘Cats in 2019-2020.
The Marquette Redmen football team have not won an outright Great Northern Conference championship since 1976. The task is still within reach for first year head coach Eric Mason, with a 1-0 record currently and 3 conference games left. Coach Mason joined the Sports Drive to discuss the homecoming loss to Alpena and to look ahead to Friday night’s bout with Menominee.
