The Sports Drive: Girls District 66 Preview + NUM/MTU Weekend

Marquette, MI – February 27, 2020 – Next week girl’s basketball district play will begin and most people will have their eye on one district in particular, District 66. The District that features Westwood, Negaunee, Gwinn, Ishpeming, Manistique, and Bark River – Harris should be one of the most competitive in the state. Gwinn and Negaunee split during the regular season, with the rubber match being in the first round of the district tournament. Luke spoke with both head coaches Mike O’Donnell (Negaunee) and Ben Olsen (Gwinn).
The Northern Michigan – Michigan Tech weekend kicks off tonight with the Men’s Basketball contest at 5:30, followed by the Women’s Basketball game. That will lead into a big weekend for both the NMU and MTU hockey team’s with their home-and-home series. The Sports Drive breaks it all down.
