The Sports Drive: Former Negaunee Star Tyler Jandron Signs with Diamondbacks
- Updated: June 13, 2018

Marquette, MI – June 13, 2018 – Former Negaunee baseball and basketball star Tyler Jandron wrapped up his 2nd and final year at Northwood University this past year. The year ended with Jandron being the first ever player to win GLIAC Pitcher of the Year in back-to-back years and lead the GLIAC in ERA by almost 2 points. On Monday Tyler signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization where he will start out in Montana. We hear from Tyler’s brother and assistant coach at Northwood University Tony about how Tyler prepared himself to become a dominant pitcher.
Miguel Cabrera is done for the season after rupturing his biceps tendon after a swing and a miss in the bottom of the 3rd inning in the Tigers 6-4 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Luke talks about the potential of never seeing Superhero Miggy again and how sometimes sports and real life come to a crossroads sometimes.
