The Sports Drive: Ben Olsen, Walt Lindala, and a Lot of Snow in Calumet
- Updated: April 23, 2018

Marquette, MI – April 23, 2018 – It had been a while since Head Girls Basketball Coach at Gwinn High School Ben Olsen joined the Sports Drive. He joined the show today to discuss summer plans with the program. Plus with prominent and successful coaches in the area suddenly finding themselves without jobs, Coach Olsen weighs in on the status of high school sports as it pertains to outside influences.
If you haven’t seen the viral photograph of Calumet’s High School Track, it gives the perfect indication of what high schools in the area are dealing with trying to get spring sports going. Calumet Athletic Director Sean Jacques joined the Sports Drive to talk about that picture that has made rounds and also the challenges he faces trying to get spring sports events up and going.
13 years ago today the Green Bay Packers took Aaron Rodgers with the 24th overall pick (feel old?). Great lakes Radio News Director and Green Bay Packer fan Walt Lindala hopped on the air to talk that draft, and the draft process.
Tune into the Sports Drive weekdays from 3-5pm on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 – 99.9 and on foxsportsmarquette.com
