Pistons Fall, Wings Head To Boston and Marquette Redettes

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Pistons were at home last night taking on the Sacramento Kings. The play by Kings Ty Lawson and DeMarcus Cousins proved to be too much for the Pistons as they fell to the Kings 109-104. Pistons center Andre Drummond scored 14 points and added 12 rebounds. The Pistons not travel to Miami where they face the Miami Heat on Saturday after a four day lay off.
The Detroit Red Wings are headed to Boston tonight where they will take on one of the most struggling teams in the NHL, the Bruins. Last week the Red Wings defeated the Boston Bruins 6-5 in a shootout, in that game the Bruins had a three goal lead and lost it. The Bruins are 3-5-2 in their last ten games, while, the Red Wings have lost two straight. The Bruins are 8-2-1 in the last 2 1/2 seasons against the Red Wings. Game time will be at 7:30 in Boston.
The Marquette Redettes basketball team took on the Escanaba Eskymos last night at home. The Redettes came out on top with a 50-29 victory. The Redettes were led by soon to be Northern Michigan Wildcat Amber Huebner who had 18 points to go along with a lot of rebounds, Kelsey Grange followed with 10 points. The Redettes will head to Menominee to take on the Maroons Friday night.
