Monday Night Football, Pistons Crushed and Red Wings Don’t Skate
- Updated: December 20, 2016
Marquette, MI – Monday Night Football was full of big hits and tough hard nosed football as the Carolina Panthers beat the Washington Redskins 26-15. The Washington Redskins playoff hopes were officially crushed as they dropped out of the NFC race. The Green Bay Packers move into the Wild Card with the loss of Washington. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton led the Panthers with 300 yards passing and two touchdowns.
The Detroit Pistons had a tough game in Chicago last night as the Bulls won 113-82. Bulls Taj Gibson added 16 points, Robin Lopez had 14 and Dewayne Wade added 13 as the Bulls rolled to victory. Pistons Jon Leuer dropped 16 points for the Pistons. Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy in the post game was very upset saying, “We got crushed, it was a disgusting performance by all of us, me included. I mean, it was unprofessional, embarrassing, humiliating. Whatever you want to say it was terrible”.
The Detroit Red Wings head to Tampa Bay to take on the Lightening at 7:30 pm. The Red Wings are coming off a cancelled game in Carolina as the rinks cooling system failed. The Red Wings will choose who is in net tonight at game time.
