Marquette, MI – The Washington Natonals picked up a huge win against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday. Nationals Jason Werth helped break open a one run game in the ninth inning leading the Nationals to a 8-3 victory. The Nationals now take a commanding 2-1 series lead.

The mood in Fenway park after a series ending loss to the Cleveland Indians was sad but happy at the same time. Even though the Indians won the game 4-3 and are moving on, a legend of the game said goodbye. David Ortiz in his 20 year career has won multiple World Series and many awards. Cleveland moves on to play the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS, start date is to be determined.

The San Francisco Giants never seem to go away come playoff time. The 13th inning came and Joe Panik drove in Brandon Crawford to bring home a win and stay in the series. The Cubs lead the best of five, two game to one.

Blaise Zimmer stopped by and brought us up to date on all the events that will be going on this Friday when Marquette opens up William R. Hart stadium for the first time since the new field has been put in. The events will include prizes, games and music starting at 5:30 pm on Friday, October 14th.
