Marquette’s New Field Will Be Ready For October 14th
- Updated: October 7, 2016

Marquette, MI – 10/6/16 – Marquette Senior High Schools football field has been in rough shape for quite sometime, a facelift has finally arrived. Marquette Senior High is replacing the current natural grass field with a turf surface.
The construction of the new field topped $600,000 and construction has been underway for the past three months. On schedule to be finished this week, the new field will be ready for the Redmen’s big game against Negaunee next Friday night. So far this season, the Redmen played all home games in the Superior Dome and next week we will see them coming home to a beautiful state of the art field.
Join the Great Lakes Radio Team and Marquette Senior High School and share in the excitement next Friday night at the grand reopening of William R. Hart Stadium on Friday, October 14th and watch the Redmen take on the Miners. You’ll find fun for the whole family as a series of fun events lead up to the game, including a stage playing music and interviews with Marquette Area Public School officials. Admission for the game is $5 and all the fun begins at 4:30.
Tune into Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9 on Friday, October 14th and Join JR and Friends for the pregame show at 5:30 pm. Ryan Ranguette, John Thomsen and Pete Kolbus will bring you all the exciting Redmen action! You can also catch the game on 103-FXD for the “Big Game of the Week”.
