Indians Take Commanding Lead And Red Wings Opener
- Updated: October 18, 2016
Marquette, MI – The Cleveland Indians came into game 3 unsure if their starter Trevor Bauer could pitch after cutting his pinky open on his drone. Bauer made it two outs into the game and was pulled due to bleeding everywhere. The Indians turned to their bullpen and took off from there. Five different pitchers saw action, Jason Kipnis and Mike Napoli homered leading the Indians to a 4-2 victory and a commanding 3 games to 0 lead in the ALCS. The Indians look to move onto the World Series this afternoon when the Blue Jays and Indians play at 4 pm.
The mood at Joe Louis Arena Monday night was electric, it was the last opening night the Joe would see in its history. The Red Wings faced off against the Ottawa Senators, Red wings came out on top 5-1. The Red Wings new arena is currently under construction and will be ready for the 2017-2018 season. The Red Wings head to New York to face the Rangers on Wednesday night at 8 pm.
Blaise Zimmer stopped by to talk Marquette athletics and the up-coming football game against Menominee this Friday night. Blaise is insightful when talking sports and we love having him as a part of our show. We would like to thank Marquette Senior High School for being on our broadcasts and number one supporter.
