Indians Stamp Ticket, Cubs Blowout Dodgers and Trevor Thompson

John Thomsen, Adam Carpenter and Ryan Ranguette on ACT Day

Marquette, MI – The Cleveland Indians finally are headed back to the World Series after defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 3-0 in Wednesday afternoons game. The Indians were led by rookie pitcher Ryan Merritt and little offense was needed as the Indians won the series four games to one. Next up for the Indians, they await the winner of the Cubs and Dodgers series. Game one of the World Series will be next Tuesday.

The Cubs had a strong offense showing last night when they went up against the Los Angeles Dodgers. A key moment in the game and a momentum changer was when Dodgers Adrian Gonzalez was called out sliding into home. Two innings later the Cubs lit up the scoreboard and went on the win the game 10-2 and evening the series at two games a piece.

Fox Sports Detroit’s Trevor Thompson stopped by to talk Red Wings hockey with us this morning. Trevor talked about the team and their 2016-2017 season and what we could expect. The Red Wings picked up a big win last night in New York, beating the Rangers 2-1 in a game in which Jimmy Howard made 31 of 32 saves.

Adam Carpenter from 103-FXD came by for his special day in which is called ACT day. Adam talked hockey and we quizzed him on random multi-sport athletes. Adam is an avid Lions, Tigers and Red Wings fan. WE love having him on our show to talk Detroit Sports.
