The Detroit Lions escaped from the Cleveland Browns at Ford Field on Sunday pulling away in the second held to win 38-24. The Lions were led by quarterback Matthew Stafford who threw for 249 yards on 17 of 26 passing for three touchdowns. The Browns were led by rookie quarterback Deshone Kizer who completed 21 of 37 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown. The Lions move to 5-4 on the season and will face the Chicago Bears next week.
The Green Bay Packers went into Soldier Field and came out with a victory over the Chicago Bears 23-16. Packers quarterback Brett Hundley threw for 212 yards and a touchdown, to lead the Packers to their eighth straight victory at Soldier Field. Chicago’s quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had the best passing game of his career throwing for 297 yards. The Packers play the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday at home.
