High School Begins, Tigers Trounced Again and Ezekiel elliot

Marquette, MI – 8/15/17 – The High School football season is fast approaching and each of the three high schools that Great Lakes radio covers will have their annual “Meet the Teams” night. The Negaunee Miners will have, “Meet the Miners Night” on August 16th at 6:30 pm in the Negaunee High School Auditorium. The Marquette, “Meet the Redmen and Redettes Night”, will be on August 21st in the High School gymnasium. The Ishpeming Hemitites with have their, “Meet the Hemitites Night”, on August 22nd inside the gymnasium at Ishpeming High School.
The Detroit Tigers struggled once again losing to the Texas Rangers 6-2 on the bats of the Rangers offense. Rangers Rougned Odor had three hits in the contest to go along with three runs scored. Tigers starter Michael Fulmer struggled on the mound after walking the first two batters of the game, he took the loss and is now 10-10 on the season. Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera missed his second straight game due to back stiffness.
Ezekiel Elliot has been suspended by the NFL the first six games of the upcoming season. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell did not attend any of the hearings during the investigation and word has gotten out that Elliot will appeal the suspension. Elliot will argue that his ex girlfriend Tiffany Thompson made threats to, “ruin his career”. The investigation continues to be ongoing.
