Marquette, MI – The best gift in life other than love is the ability to see out of our eyeballs. Last night, one of the greatest pitching duels in MLB postseason history was watched by more than 30 million people. The Giants and Mets faced off in a one game elimination to move on to the Divisional Series. Madison Bumgarder and Noah Synderguard both pitched deep into the game but, the Giants it proved to be too much for the Mets after Connor Gillaspie parked a three run homer into the seats and the Giants came out on top.
The Red Wings took on the Pittsburgh Penguin in another pre-season battle on Wednesday night. The Red Wings ended up winning 5-2 but the real story, Jared Coreau. Red Wings back-up goaltender from the University of Northern Michigan Jared Coreau is becoming a hot name in the NHL right now and its mainly because he’s been a brick wall in the net. Coreau, stopped 30 shots out of the 32 he faced. Coreau is currently sitting with a perfect pre-season record and looks to possibly earn a spot on the Red Wings roster.
Adam Carpenter from the Outdoor show on 103 FXD stopped by to chime in on national sports with us this morning. The talk covered many different subject including the Red Wings, Weather and College football. We would like to wish Adam a happy birthday as he turns 46 today. Tune in for ACT Thursdays with AC.
