Marquette, MI – The Detroit Tigers for a brief moment yesterday might have been able to play baseball, but the rain proved to much for Comerica Park as the day game with the Cleveland Indians was cancelled. The Tigers now switch their focus to a three game series with the Atlanta Braves beginning tonight when Daniel Norris takes the mound to help take the Tigers to the playoffs. The Tigers sit 1 1/2 games back of the Baltimore Orioles with four game left.
Ishpeming Hemitites broadcaster Mike Plourde stopped in to talk about the Hemitites season and what to expect in the game Friday night against Oconto (WI). The Hemitites are 2-2 on the year as the look to pick up four more wins to reach the playoffs. The game between Ishpeming and Oconto begins at 8pm eastern time.
The Negaunee Miners are 5-0 and Mike Evans, broadcaster for the Miners, stopped in to talk with us this morning. The Miners are coming up against Norway who is also undefeated and coming off a big win. Negaunee and Norway kickoff at 7pm in Norway.
The Marquette Redmen travel to Kingsford tonight to take on the Flivvers. The Flivvers are 3-2 coming off a loss to Menominee, while the Redmen are also coming off a shocking upset to Gladstone. The game between the Redmen and the Flivvers begins at 7pm eastern time.
