- Updated: September 22, 2017
Marquette, MI – 9/22/17 – Former Northern Michigan Wildcats running back Stu Betts stopped in this morning to talk about his life and career in both the NFL and military. Stu was the most valuable player of the Northern Michigan Wildcats football team in 1974, then in 1975 won a National Championship. In 1976 Betts was drafted by the New England Patriots but signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Life after football included coaching and a 21-year stint in the military. Betts was a naval aviator in the marines, cobra pilot and a weapons instructor.
Michigan Man Ray joined us this morning talking Michigan Wolverine football as they get ready for their next opponent, the Purdue Boilermakers. Ray talked about the Michigan offense and defense and what they need to do to improve. Ray also talked about Wolverines freshman receiver Tarik Black, his injury and what the Wolverines need to focus on moving forward. Tune in every Friday for our weekly update with the Michigan Wolverines with Michigan Man Ray. Check Ray out at theblueprintmichigan.com.
