Cubs Win Big, Packers Cruise To Victory, Marquette Gameday

Marquette, MI – The Cubs last World Series appearance came in 1945, the last World Series victory came in 1908. The Chicago Cubs took on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a crucial game five with the series tied at two on Thursday night. Chicago Cubs pitcher John Lester pitched seven great innings and Addison Russell came through with a tie-breaking homer and the Cubs came out on top winning 8-4 and taking control of the series three game to two. Game six will be played on Saturday night at the historic Wrigley Field, game time is at 8 pm.
The Green Bay Packers came into Thursday nights game against the Bears fired up after a loss last week to the Dallas Cowboys. Aaron Rodgers took control of the game leading his team to victory with 326 yards of passing and three touchdowns. The Packers were playing their first game without running back Eddie Lacy. Next up for the Packers will be the Atlanta Falcons on October 30th in Atlanta, that game is at 4:30 pm.
The Marquette Redmen football team is headed to Menominee tonight to take on the 7-1 Maroons. The Redmen come into this game 1-7 on the season and are coming off a 32-0 loss to Negaunee. Marquette is looking to end the season on a high note looking to come out with a win.
