Cleveland Indians Beat Tigers, Fox Sports Luke G and Joe Gaffney

Marquette, MI – Cleveland Indians Andrew Miller struck out four in two scoreless innings, and the Indians picked up a victory over the Detroit Tigers 3-2 on Wednesday night. Tigers pitcher Matt Boyd had another solid outing allowing three runs on five hits in 7 2/3 innings. Tigers call-up from Toledo Jim Adduci had an RBI single in the fifth and Victor Martinez added another run with a sacrifice fly. The Tigers will conclude their series today when they face Indians pitcher Danny Salazar (2-2 4.34 ERA) while Detroit sends Michael Fulmer (2-1 3.19 ERA) to the bump, game time is at 1:10 pm.

Today’s morning show began another page in the Fox Sports chapter as Luke Ghiardi made his co-host debut with Ryan Ranguette. Ghiardi is a longtime resident of Gwinn and a graduate of Gwinn High School. He also went on to Central Michigan University where he ended up with a degree in broadcasting. We’re very excited to have Luke aboard in the mornings talking sports.

Joe Gaffney stopped in this morning to talk NBA and NHL playoffs as well as his thoughts on the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys drafts. Joe has been a great guest here at Fox Sports Marquette and loves to call the hockey games for Marquette Senior High School in the fall.
