Marquette, MI – June 4th, 2026 – This week, we welcomed the four seniors from the Negaunee Miners softball team, Delaney Gladwell, Cassie Feys, Rheanna Nelson, and Ainsley Burnette to the show. With four guests joining us, we shortened each interview a bit, giving every senior an opportunity to reflect on her career and share some insight into the team’s season.
Each conversation brought something different to the table. We talked about their positions on the field, the bats they trust at the plate, how the season has progressed, and some of the memories they’ll carry with them after graduation. No matter the topic, though, the focus always seemed to circle back to one thing: the Miners’ upcoming regional playoff matchup.
Negaunee will head to Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday for a Division 2 regional 9 semifinal against Ogemaw Heights, with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. The seniors will look to help extend the Miners season and continue their pursuit of a state tournament run.
