Marquette, MI – August 13th, 2025 – On Monday, senior Pavel McCutcheon announced on social media that he has decided to continue his athletic career. Marquette continues to add to the list of players they have sent on to play college football. McCutcheon, a 6’7″, 285-pound offensive lineman, effectively utilizes his size to his advantage.
McCutcheon found his best fit would be at Grand Valley State University; however, they will have to wait for his arrival until next season. McCutcheon’s primary position is offensive guard, but he also has experience at offensive tackle. In previous seasons, McCutcheon has played alongside two current Division I football players, Talon and Dasan Smith, who are both playing at Central Michigan University.
Marquette football had a very successful last season, finishing 7 – 3, falling short of the playoffs. The Sentinels have a lot to look forward to this season. Quarterback Ford Richardson is returning, hoping to lead his team to the playoffs this year. The Sentinels will begin their season by heading to Negaunee on August 28th, at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast by mediaBrew Communications.
