With their season on the line and momentum from last week’s thrilling victory, Marquette High School Hockey left everything on the ice in their quest for the regional championship. First Period
Midland struck first, sneaking the puck past Marquette High School Hockey’s defense to take an early lead. Both teams played with intensity, but no further goals were made in the opening period.

Second Period
Marquette High School Hockey came out strong, dominating possession and keeping the puck in Midland’s zone for nearly the entire period. The Sentinels fired shot after shot, wearing down the Chemics’ goaltender, but despite their relentless pressure, they couldn’t find the back of the net.

Third Period
Unusual rink conditions made for a chaotic period, with the puck getting stuck on the ice due to excess water. But Marquette High School Hockey refused to back down. Easton Bal made a sharp pass to Brody Sheldon, who sent the puck top shelf to finally break through the Chemics’ defense and tie the game. With the clock running out, the game headed into overtime.

Overtime
With everything on the line, Brody Sheldon and Seth Sandstrom broke away in a two-on-one play. Brody Sheldon fired a perfect shot past the Midland goaltender, sealing the victory and crowning Marquette High School Hockey the Regional Champions!
