Today’s match pits them against the Salem Blue Devils, and our dynamic duo, Joe Gaffeny, and Coach Larry Karry are on call, delivering live updates from the stadium on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9.
First Period: The first period proves to be eventful, with Marquette Highschool Hockey dominating the play, keeping the puck in Salem’s territory. However, an unfortunate incident occurs at the end of the period when one of Salem’s players delivers a hard hit to a Marquette player, resulting in a possible leg injury. Despite this setback, Marquette maintains composure. The Salem player is escorted off the ice and ejected from the game due to his conduct.

Second Period: Marquette comes out strong in the second period, with CJ Carter scoring the first goal against Salem, swiftly bringing the score to 1-0. Nash Reepy seizes an opportunity, executing a drop pass and scoring another goal, extending Marquette’s lead to 2-0.

Third Period: The third period unfolds with back-and-forth action. Salem manages to breach Marquette’s defenses once, but Marquette retaliates quickly, adding two more goals to their score. With 7 minutes to go, a Salem player breaks away from Marquette’s defense and scores, narrowing the gap to 4-2. However, Salem struggles to make any more goals in the remaining 42 seconds, allowing Marquette to secure a victory.
