Marquette, MI – March 6, 2023 – The Negaunee Miners kick off their district run tonight when they host the Houghton Gremlins at Lakeview Memorial Gymnasium. The Miners are the #3 ranked team in the U.P. and have dreams of hoisting the trophy Friday night on their home floor, but have to first get past Houghton tonight. Miners head coach Brad Nelson joined the show to talk about his team and preview tonight’s game.
What a weekend for Northern Michigan University. First the Wildcat’s hockey team earned a sweep of Bemidji State in the CCHA Tournament quarterfinals to earn a spot against Michigan tech in the semifinals. Then the NMU Men’s basketball team won their first GLIAC Tournament since 1999-2000. Luke and Tyler break down the weekend.
