Marquette, MI – September 8, 2022 – 20 years ago, the Negaunee Miners took home the state championship from the Silver Dome in Pontiac. Presently, the Miners think they have a team that could potentially take home some hardware from Ford Field. The 2002 State Championship team will be honored during Negaunee’s game against Hancock Friday night. Miners head coach Paul Jacobson joined The Sports Drive today to talk about his current Miners, and the team that won the title in 2002.
