A Brief History
First started in 1946 by Negaunee High School Athletic Director, Oscar Wassburg, the event was later revived in 2008 by Todd Goldberg. After learning about his father-in-law’s involvement with the classic event, he was inspired to bring the event back to life.
The modern U.P. Football All-Star event has been happening since 2008, although it was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
