Marquette, MI – January 17, 2020 – The Marquette Redmen travel to Menominee tonight to take on the Maroons. Menominee is lead by Sam Larson, a former Maroons player, in his 3rd year as head coach. Larson joined the Sports Drive today to talk about his team and the program he is building.
The NFC Championship game features 2 key coaches with significant ties to Northern Michigan university. Packers head coach Matt Lafleur spent one season on the NMU coaching staff, and 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh was a 4-year starter for the ‘Cats and graduated from NMU.
