Marquette, MI – April 3, 2019 – The Northern Michigan University Lacrosse team is in just its second year as an intercollegiate program. head Coach Emilia Ward is no stranger to starting programs after starting Kalamazoo College’s program in 2013. Ward joined Luke and Mark on the Sports Drive to talk about what goes into starting a new program and how the team continues to improve.
The Hematite Invitational Tournament, formerly the Last Chance tournament, is heading into weekend number 2 in 2019. Classes A, B, and 35+ will all compete this weekend at Ishpeming High School. The man who puts it all together, Ryan Reichel, joined the Sports Drive to talk the first weekend of action and look ahead to the upcoming weekend.
