Marquette, MI – February 28, 2019 – The Negaunee Miners and Gwinn Modeltowners boys basketball teams will meet up for a district championship on Friday night at Lakeview Memorial Gymnasium after both teams won their semi-final games Friday night.
Negaunee head coach Dan Waterman joined the Sports Drive to talk about his team gutting out a win against Westwood. The Miners were down early, but never wavered, and earned a right to play in Friday night’s title game.
Gwinn head coach Jim Finkbeiner then joined the show to discuss his team’s victory over the Ishpeming Hematites, and what his team needs to do to win Gwinn’s first district title since 2010.
