Marquette, MI – 10/27/17 – Today marks the beginning of the MHSAA football playoffs. Great Lakes Radio carries three teams, the Ishpeming Hemitites, Marquette Redmen and Negaunee Miners. All three will not be participating this year but look to come back strong next year. The first game will be tonight in Escanaba when the Eskymos take on Bay City John Glenn. That game will begin at 7 pm.
Michigan Man Ray joined us this morning to talk about last weeks game against Penn State and preview the game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights this weekend. The Wolverines come into the game at 5-2 and Rutgers coming off of two Big Ten victories. Ray went over the teams keys to the game and what they need to do to get the offense going again. The Baltimore Ravens got a big win last night at home as they welcomed in the Miami Dolphins 40-0. The story of the game came when Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco went to slide and was hit at full speed by Kiko Alonso. Flacco sustained a concussion and was bleeding from his ear and did not return. Alonso is awaiting punishment from the league.
