Marquette, MI – 8/24/17 – That time of the year is back as High School sports are in full swing. This Friday will be the first football game of the season for Marquette Senior High School as they head downstate to take on Traverse City St.Francis, a team coming off a regional final playoff loss in the playoffs last year.
We had a chance to catch up with whats going on around the school with new Athletic Director Alex Tiseo. Many additions have been made to the school such as a new track, gym and signage throughout the facility. Tiseo talked about how it will benefit the school moving forward.
Marquette Senior High School Head Football Coach Dave L’Huillier stopped in to talk about his excitement for the upcoming football season and his team. The Redmen are looking to rebound after a tough season last year. The Redmen played all but one home game last year in the Superior Dome, this year they finally get to open up the season on their own field. Friday they will kick off the season in Traverse City against Traverse City St.Francis, a team that went 11-1 last year.
