Tigers Crush Ball, NHL Playoffs and The Coach Returns

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Tigers came through in a big way last night defeating the Seattle Mariners 19-9. The Tigers bats came alive in the fifth inning scoring 9 runs. Both teams combined for 40 hits in the game, a Comerica Park record. The previous mark was set back in 2006 when the Tigers and White Sox combined for 38. The Tigers will continue to game two of a three game series today when the Tigers send Daniel Norris to the mound to face the left from Seattle James Paxton, game time is set for 7:05 pm.

The NHL playoffs will continue to the second round tonight with the Nashville Predators taking on the St.Louis Blues in Missouri. The Edmonton Oilers are heading to the west coast to take on the Anaheim Ducks. The NHL has decided to play Western Conference games on the same day as will the Eastern Conference. The Easter Conference games will begin second round play tomorrow night.

Pete Kolbus the coach stopped in this morning to talk about the NFL Draft. Coach Pete Kolbus has been sidelined due to gallbladder surgery and is on the recovery. Coach talked about top players in this years draft as well as his thoughts on the Lions and Packers drafts, coach will be back on tomorrow morning.
