
Marquette, MI – The Detroit Tigers are off to an impressive 4-2 start. The Tigers picked up their third win in a four game series against the Boston Red Sox 2-1 on Monday. Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler had a home-run and Nick Castellanos added the RBI single in the 8th to seal the deal. Tigers Justin Wilson (1-0) got out of the eighth giving way to Francisco Rodriguez who closed it out. The Tigers now set their sights to a three game series at home against the Minnesota Twins beginning today at 1:10 pm.
The Detroit Pistons closed out their season last night to the Washington Wizards and fell 105-101. The Pistons celebrated their last game in the Palace with lots of former Detroit Pistons and hall of fame players of Pistons past speaking to the crowd. The Pistons will be playing in Little Caesars arena next fall. The Pistons have one game left and that will be on Orlando taking on the Magic.
The Boston Marathon is going into their 121st year of the race beginning on April 17th. Local runner Bill Sved stopped by to talk about his experiences at the marathon and what he looks to accomplish this year. Sved has raced a total of 6 times and going for his seventh. The 26 mile race is full of all walks of life, 32,000 plus to be exact. We wish Bill the best of luck in Boston this weekend.
