
Marquette, MI – The Negaunee Miners played in the Class C quarterfinal on Tuesday night against the Manton Rangers. Negaunee fell to the Rangers 51-49 on Jayden Perry’s last second shot. The Miners end the season as District and Regional Champions with an overall record of 20-5. The Rangers will move on to play Grand Rapids Covenant Christian who knocked out Kalamazoo Christian 49-40.
The Powers North Central Jets keep rolling collecting their 81st straight win and a big victory over the Hillman Tigers 74-61 in the Class D quarterfinal on Tuesday night. The Jets were led by Jason Whitens who dropped 29 points followed by Dawson Bilski who had 11. The Jets move on to face Southfield Christian who defeated Fowler 64-42. The Jets will head to the Breslin Center for the third straight year.
The NCAA Mens Hockey Tournament Bracket came out this week and we had Coach Doug Garrow from the Marquette Senior High School Hockey team on to bring his expertise on college hockey. Coach Garrow is a former player from Northern Michigan University and brings great professionalism when it comes to college hockey, the ultimate hockey guru. We went over all of the seeds and match-ups, Coach Garrow chose North Dakota to win it all in this years NCAA Mens Hockey Tournament.
