Pistons Win Big, Wolverines Best Class and Wildcat Additions

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Pistons overcame an 8 point deficit in the third quarter and rallied behind Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to scratch out a 118-98 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. Caldwell-Pope dropped a season high 38 points and also a career best. Pistons Tobias Harris added 19 while Pistons center Andre Drummond added 17 points to end the Pistons losing streak. The Pistons got a much needed win after a three game losing streak, next up for the Pistons will be the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow night at home in the Palace of Auburn Hills.

The Michigan Wolverines had a great National Signing day yesterday coming out with the 5th best recruiting class in the country. The Wolverines top addition to the team will be wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones from Cass Tech High School in Detroit. The Wolverines in total added two 5 stars and 18 four stars to the roster and a total of 28 players, in a class regarded as the finest ever assembled at the University of Michigan.

The Northern Michigan Wildcat Football team also had a solid day on National Signing Day. New head football coach Kyle Nystrom added nine players and two from the Upper Peninsula. The group includes players from five different states. The Wildcats also may add a third player from the Upper Peninsula from Marquette Senior High School offensive lineman Travis Christensen.
