Red Wings Win on Mantha’s Stick, Wolverines like Oranges and Packers take on Lions

Marquette, MI – The Red Wings picked up a much needed victory on Thursday night as they took down the Ottawa Senators 3-2 in an overtime victory in which Anthony Mantha caught a pass from Niklas Kronwall and sealed the deal. The Red Wings are now two and three in their past four games. Red Wings back-up goaltender Jared Correau got the start and earned his second straight win. The Red Wings now climb to 15 and 15 on the season, they will be away in Toronto on Sunday.

The Michigan Wolverines football team are getting prepared for the Orange Bowl against Florida State tonight at 8 pm. The Wolverines look to become just the third team in Michigan history to end a season with 11 wins. The Wolverines are coming into the game ranked 6th in the nation while the Seminoles are ranked 11th. Game time between these two will kickoff at 8 pm on ABC.

The Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers are getting ready for their big match-up this Sunday night at Ford Field where both teams will battle for the NFC North Championship. The Lions and Packers both come into the game at 9-6 and the winner will punch their ticket to the playoffs. Game time on New Years Day is at 8:25 pm.
