Marquette, MI – Toronto Blue Jays, Josh Donaldson took the Jays into the next round of the playoffs with his feet. Donaldson raced home yesterday from second base in the 10th inning to beat the throw from the outfield and send the Jays to the ALCS. The Jays will face the winner of Cleveland and Boston, the Indians lead the series 2-0.
The Green Bay Packers defense has the making of a dominant defense that could take them deep into the playoffs. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes, and the offense line kept him safe all game and overpowered the Giants defense. The Packers improve to 3-1 with the 23-16 win over the New York Giants. The Packers kickoff against the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday at 4:25 pm.
The Detroit Lions picked up a much needed 24-23 win on Sunday against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford picked apart one of the NFL’s best defenses, throwing for three touchdowns on the first three possessions of the game. The Lions move to 2-3 on the season and will face the Los Angeles Rams next Sunday in Detroit at 1:00 pm.
We had the great opportunity to have John Smullins with us this morning talking Kraft Hockeyville and hockey. John comes from Boston where he played hockey at Boston College as a goalie and came from a hockey family.
