NHL – The Detroit Red Wings Beat The Calgary Flames

Justin Abdelkader and Henrik Zetterberg both scored a goal and had an assist to help the Detroit Red Wings hold off the Calgary Flames, 3-2 at the Scotiabank Saddledome last night.

Zetterberg’s score broke a tie late in the second period and Abdelkader struck on the power play with two minutes gone in the third.

Mikael Backlund had a shorthanded goal for Calgary, but the Flames couldn’t tie it again over the last 14 minutes.

Petr Mrazek had 28 saves as Detroit who won for the third time in four games.
