NFL – The Lions Win And The Packers Lose

Matt Prater’s 33-yard field goal with 3:38 left in the fourth quarter lifted the Detroit Lions to a 16-14 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Detroit yesterday.

Matthew Stafford threw for 153 yards and a touchdown for the 10-and-4 Lions, who now sit in first place in the NFC North.

Golden Tate had the TD catch in the win.

Teddy Bridgewater was 31-of-41 for 315 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for the Vikings, who slipped to 6-and-8.

The Lions face the Chicago Bears in their next game on Sunday.
Mario Williams’s sack-strip resulting in a safety in the final minutes sealed it as the Buffalo Bills took down the Green Bay Packers 21-13 at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Marcus Thigpen took a punt 75 yards to the end zone in the first quarter for Buffalo’s lone touchdown.

Kyle Orton threw for 158 yards and an interception, while Dan Carpenter nailed all four of his field goal attempts.

The victory gives the Bills their first eight-win season since 2004.

Aaron Rodgers went just 17-for-42 for 185 yards and a pair of picks as Green Bay had its five-game winning streak snapped.

The Packers go to Tampa next Sunday.
The Bears welcome in the Saints to Soldier Field for “Monday Night Football.” Chicago has already been eliminated from playoff contention at 5-and-8.

The Bears are coming off a 41-28 setback to Dallas 11 days ago.

New Orleans is looking to keep pace in the NFC South at 5-and-8.

They are currently second in the division behind the 5-8-and-1 Panthers.

They lost 41-10 to Carolina last time out.
