MLB – Torii Hunter To Sign With Twins

Former Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter is returning to where it all started.

Reports say that the Minnesota Twins have signed the veteran outfielder to a one-year, 10.5-million-dollar contract.

Hunter was drafted by the Twins in the first round in 1993 and he spent his first 11 seasons in Minnesota.

He won seven Gold Glove Awards and made two All-Star appearances with the Twins, hitting .271 with 192 home runs, 259 doubles and 126 stolen bases in 1,234 games.

Hunter then played five years with the Angels before spending the last two years in Detroit.

The 39-year-old is a career .286 hitter with 331 homers and 1,310 RBIs.
