MLB – The Detroit Tigers Lose A Close One

Roberto Perez’s solo home run in the bottom of the 8th inning turned out to be the game-winning hit for the Cleveland Indians.

They beat the Detroit Tigers 2 to 1 last night in Cleveland.

It was a good outing for Tigers starter Matt Boyd.

Boyd went 7 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 4 and walking 1.

Third Baseman Jeimer Candelario drove in the Tigers’ only run, with an RBI double in the

top of the 7th inning.

The series continues tonight in Cleveland.

Jordan Zimmermann will take the mound for the Tigers and Carlos Carrasco will start for Cleveland.

The first pitch is scheduled for 6:10.
