The Washington Nationals are showing off the newest addition to their starting rotation.

Free-agent and former Detroit Tigers ace Max Scherzer was formally introduced yesterday.

Scherzer signed a seven-year contract with the Nationals worth a reported 210-million-dollars.

The 30-year-old right-hander spent the last five seasons with the Detroit Tigers.

He went 18-and-5 with a 3.15 ERA last season after winning the American League Cy Young Award the year before with a 21-and-3 record and a career-low 2.90 ERA.
