On the next play Kaski threw a 40-yard pass to Martysz who easily cruised into the end zone to bring the score up to 28-14 right out of the gate. Sault Ste. Marie struggled to make anything happen on their next possession. The Redmen had no trouble though, with another Kaski/Martysz special. Kaski’s 35-yard pass brought the score up to 35-14 with a successful kick from Drew Wyble. Brady Wright had a huge tackle during the next Blue Devils possession to defend the Redmen lead. Marquette’s defense stayed strong and the rest of the quarter passed with no change to the scoreboard.
